Fancy pictures

I follow a few blogs written by women that really inspire me.  I don't have time to read things that don't.  One of them is for home school and parenting advice- she's a mother of 15.  I'm back.  I passed out for a minute thinking about that.  I'm good now.  Three of them are other moms with young kids and I follow them for the fellowship.  They always help me remember I'm not alone.  Other moms are doing the same exact things, enjoying lots of it, trudging through some of it, persevering through all of it.  I follow the Pioneer Woman because she's crazy.  I'm crazy.  'Nuff said.  I follow Beth Moore's blog because I'm her groupie.  I've never been a groupie.  Well - maybe Mac Powell from Third Day.  It's really hard to remain spiritual at a Third Day concert.  He's hot.  (Shh...Please don't tell Clint I typed that.)  Obviously not following Beth Moore for the same reasons.  And Mac Powell can sing like out - of - this - world so I'm not totally single - minded in my devotion.  I'm trying to talk about Beth Moore here but is everyone else noticing that all roads lead to Mac this morning?  Honestly, I think it's because Third Day and Mac Powell are Clint's favorite band and since his Alan Jackson phase in 1994-5 he's never really had an, "I HAVE to HAVE that CD Pleeeeeaaaaasse!" attitude about an artist.  Two summers ago he got "Revelation" (from me of course!) for Father's Day and he blared it out of his rig as he worked.  The other guys would have to listen to it.  "What IS that stuff?" they'd say.  He's like a 3rd Day evangelist.  Beth Moore.  I'm her groupie because she tells the truth.  I don't agree with everything about her but I know for a fact she's O.K. with that.  So long insecurity!  (Oh.  Sorry.  Personal moment.   Just halfway finished that new study by her.  I very rarely completely finish anything.  The Holy Spirit and I are very attention deficit.  Once I've "got it" He knows I'm going to wander so we just move on.)  Which is what we're going to do RIGHT NOW.

Fancy pictures.  Most of the women who blog on the blogs I follow take fanTAStic pictures.  With outRAGEous cameras.  I'm not jealous.  I don't have time.  I'm not even interested in making time or asking Jesus to give me a desire to care to make time.  I'm still learning how to play the fiddle.  And make my horse do what I'd like her to do.  But I do enjoy the fancy pictures on their blogs.  Especially of their children.  I said all of this, every last little teensy bit of it - to say this:  THESE ARE NOT FANCY PICTURES.  Hope you enjoy them anyway!

Here's our sweetie peetie baby girl sitting on the fence at the pony lot.  Someone else would be able to get the shadow off of her face and other cool things (or just have taken a better picture to begin with) but I warned you these were not fancy pictures.

And here we are enjoying our very first dinner ever in the new house with our
friends the Crawford kids (well, 4 of them!)

And here is my main squeeze with his baby girl macpowellpullease! hanging out up at the shed.  He's actually seeing her get her picture taken and hollering, "Don't you let her fall off of there backwards and hit her head on that concrete."  You can't see it in the picture but there's one 4' square chunk of concrete right behind that gate she's sitting on.  This from the man who gave D a re-built go-kart for his 7th birthday that had no governor.  Mmhmmm.

Speaking of boys....I'm looking for a recent picture of the scoundrels. They never stand still long enough to get their pictures taken. They always beg but then when I am ready they're on to the next thing. It's exactly why I have TONS of pictures of them when they were little enough to sit still (or be strapped into something). So...here's the lone picture I found. It's prayer time before bed a few nights ago. Aren't they cute when they're clean?  I know, Clint's eyes are closed.  He's praying, remember?  O.K.  So I took 4 pictures and his eyes were closed in all of them - what's a girl to do?  I TOOK FOOOUUURRR!  Maybe he was really going for the "prayer time" look.  :-)  I told you they weren't fancy pictures.  But they're mine.  And I luvs em I do.
