Today we visited the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site. Hot dog did we have a good time. Our friends the Sievers joined us and we picnicked, toured the mill, toured the house, dove into a drainage ditch after freshly hatched tad poles who SERIOUSLY wished they'd never been spotted but who were graciously returned to their pipe home and left to grow old or be eaten by something else, we played in the creek, we saw a miniature waterfall, their term not mine, we had snacks, we drove the hour and a half home, through the very hilly hills while all the kids screamed like they were on roller coasters, we ate pizza, we watched more Star Wars, we ate popcorn with all kinds of m&ms, I finished my Francine Rivers novel, I adore how they are all mesmerized by Star Wars, and WE ARE GOING TO BED. Day 2. Check.
On the "floating staircase" at the Watkins Family Home.
